Wagner and Brumit have been collaborating on a list of Life Laws for the past 18 years. This list of things that one shouldn't, and perhaps couldn't, ever do has manifested in different ways including performances, embroidery and spoken word.

The list began when Wagner was repairing the wheel bearing on the couple's 1967 VW Beetle and placed the brand new, well lubricated bearing on the dirt driveway before installing it in the wheel. The resulting earsplitting whine was the siren that was the precourser to the first life law "don't put your bearings in the dirt", followed closely with "don't cut a hole in the roof of a co-owned car without asking the co-owner's permission
